Sanitary Sewer Master Plan & Design, South Jordan, Utah
Developed and oversaw the implementation of the Daybreak sanitary sewer master plan. At build out the system will serve 4,700 acres with approximately 23,000 ERU's and contains pipes ranging in size from 8” to 18” inch in diameter. The master plan included the design of two sewer lift stations with pressurized force mains crossing beneath Oquirrh Lake to service development on the island. Through computer modeling of the system, sized trunk lines based on future land planning and based on existing and future topography of the site. With each plat he was responsible for implementing the master plan and updating it based on the latest land planning. To verify the sewer loadings, a flow study was performed by placing open channel flow meters along the sewer trunk lines and comparing the flow data to modeling results.
Capital Facilities Plan, Cottonwood Improvement District, Utah
Responsible for updating future connection estimates at build out and update of existing capital facilities plan with new future demand and make recommendations on required improvements and special district areas. The study included an infiltration and inflow study to determine a factor of safety for the system.
Midvale City Sewer Modeling, Utah
Determined impacts on the City’s sanitary sewer system due to the additional land development. Determined total system output, evaluated capacity of current system, and impact of additional flows on the current system. Based on the model outputs, made recommendations for offsite improvements to provide adequate capacity to convey sewer flows to treatment facilities
