Culinary Water Master Plan & Design, South Jordan, Utah
Developed the culinary water infrastructure master plan for the 4,700-acre Daybreak development. The water system, at build out, will serve approximately 23,000 ERU's and contains distribution pipe ranging in size from 8 to 30 inch in diameter. The master plan included development of peaking factors and demands for the model, development of population and demand projections for build-out conditions, and computer modeling of the system. This included sizing tanks, major backbone distribution trunk lines, PRV's and delineating the distribution system into 8 pressure zones.
Central Iron County Water Conservancy District, Utah
Responsible for developing the water master plan, performing an impact fee study, overseeing water rights, and developing a capital facilities plan. Also designed two 1,000 gpm booster stations with PRVs, as well as over 50 miles of pipeline, ranging in size from 8” to 24”.
Water Master Plan, Enoch City, Utah
Produced the water and secondary water master plans. The master planning process involved development of a capital facilities plan and an impact fee study. Additionally, Enoch City’s water disposition was studied and recommendations were made on how to limit water right loss in agriculture to municipal water use conversions. Also responsible for the design of over 8 miles of culinary water line ranging from 8 to 30 inches in diameter.
Midvale City Water Modeling, Utah
Determined impacts on the existing Midvale City culinary water system due to the proposed Sharon Steel and Bingham Junction land development projects. This included determining peak day water demands based on land use and modeling the demands with the existing Midvale City water system. Sized offsite pipelines, based on model outputs, to deliver the additional water demand to the developments.
Wholesale Water Metering Stations, Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District, Utah
Surveyed the existing conditions inside 27 Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District wholesale metering stations, including taking inventory of everything contained within each metering station vault. Responsible for the redesign and upgrade of 17 of the 27 existing metering stations including adding magnetic meters, PRV’s, motor actuated valves, ventilation, remote telemetry, sump pumps, valves and new fittings. Also provided construction management, including contractor price negotiations, daily site visits, weekly construction progress meetings, submittal reviews, payment request reviews and final walkthrough.
PRV Vault Upgrades, Granger-Hunter Improvement District, Utah
Designed the upgrades to 8 district PRV vaults to include magnetic meters, SCADA, ventilation, remote telemetry, sump pumps, valves, pressure transducers, high flood alarms, motion detectors and lighting.
Irrigation Vault Upgrades, Weber Basin Water Conservancy District, Utah
Designed the upgrades to 6 district irrigation vaults to include magnetic meters, SCADA, ventilation, remote telemetry, sump pumps, valves, pressure transducers, high flood alarms, motion detectors and lighting. Meter sizes ranged from 14” to 24”.
